About this atlas.

A reference library for the parts of our minds we forget about while designing. Built as a living handbook — small enough to read in one sitting, deep enough to come back to for years.

The project

What this site is.

Practical entries on cognitive biases, written for designers, researchers, and product teams — not as academic definitions, but as tools for better decisions.

Each bias page explains what the bias is, why it exists, how it affects users and teams, and what to do about it in real design work. Biases are grouped into four human problems, adapted from Buster Benson’s framework.

This is educational material. It is not psychological advice, clinical guidance, or a substitute for professional judgement.
